PSJA ISD Showcases Young Talent at 2nd Annual Rising Stars Middle School Theatre Camp
PHARR – Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) presents the 2nd Annual PSJA Rising Stars Middle School Theatre Camp, an immersive summer experience uniting aspiring student performers from across the district. This year’s camp culminates in a lively production of Disney’s Finding Nemo Jr., set to take the stage at PSJA Early College High School on Friday, June 20 at 7 pm and Saturday, June 21 at 2 pm.
The PSJA Rising Stars Camp offers middle school students a unique opportunity to dive into the world of theatre through professional-level training in acting, singing, dancing, and technical theatre. Designed to cultivate young talent, the camp provides hands-on experiences with industry professionals while promoting collaboration, creativity, and confidence.
“This is more than just a summer camp,” said Taylor. “It’s a districtwide investment in our students’ artistic potential and a powerful way to build relationships among students from every PSJA middle school. We’re nurturing the next generation of performers and creators.”
The production of Finding Nemo Jr. is the grand finale of weeks of hard work, rehearsals, and artistic growth. Students have not only learned the fundamentals of theatre but also created lasting bonds and built a sense of unity and pride across campuses.
PSJA ISD invites the entire community to come out and support these talented young stars as they bring the underwater world of Nemo and friends to life in a heartwarming musical adventure for all ages.
